THE DAY RUSH LIMBAUGH DIED

First admission: I wasn’t one of the millions of faithful listeners of Rush Limbaugh, which is no reflection on him and is more about my . . .

Second admission: I had little interest in anything political until early 2016, when I began to make fun of Donald Trump’s running for office, until the moment God said in that way of His, “How about you close your mouth and open your ears instead.” It wasn’t that God wanted me to put my attention so much on Mr. Trump, but on matters I’d chosen to ignore that were contrary to His Kingdom, because this was also when God, through His grace, called me to Him after multiple decades spent in New Ageism and other sins.

Third admission: This isn’t about Rush Limbaugh. It’s about you, me, and . . . well, let me explain.

Maybe you, too, have someone’s post show up on your Facebook feed, and not only do you not know the person, you don’t know when or why you became friends, other than back at the start when everyone was eager to amass followers, a quantity-over-quality kind of thing. That’s all I can figure about this particular poster.

After learning of Rush Limbaugh’s passing, I went onto Facebook. On my feed was a meme about Limbaugh, created by that unknown friend, followed by a second one of his. I was genuinely shocked, not because it was about Limbaugh in particular, but because of how utterly void of compassion and how celebratory in viciousness and vitriol the comments were regarding a fellow human being whose last year of his life had gone as it had, until his last breath.

I thought, “That’s it! I’ve prayed for this guy every time one of his crude ‘I’m morally superior and your not’ posts about someone not on his side of the political fence has shown up, but This Is It! I’m done.” I headed to the Unfriend Zone. As I scrolled to find his name so I could erase him from my feed, God once again in that way of His said, “Which does he need more: To be unfriended and forgotten or prayed for? Which is more important: Your prideful sensibilities and self-righteousness or his soul?” Conviction and correction received, Lord, for which I thank and praise You.

St. Augustine said,

“Pride is the beginning of sin. And what is pride but the craving for undue exaltation?”

I’ve also heard said,

“Pride is pregnant with every other sin.”

Previous writings have dealt with how, for months, God’s been putting on my heart that the words we speak (or type or share) matter far more than we comprehend. They matter so much, He made sure to include in His Word that we will all stand before Him on Judgment Day and account for our every word, and that He considers slander, and any comments that seek to tear down or ruin reputations of fellow humans, equal to murder. He also told us that each time we sin, we give a legal right to the Adversary to go after us (health, finances, family, etc.). It’s something to ponder.

As I pondered these things, this new thought arrived: Sarcasm, of which we are far too fond, (including those who claim to be Christians) becomes a curse: On the person we aim it at, at those who see it or hear it and hop onto that bandwagon we put into motion, and on us. God commands us to bless, not curse, others. When we sin, we’ve taken God’s name upon us in vain and do not represent Him as a light in the darkness, as He instructs and commands.

God commands us to forgive others as we want Him to forgive us (quickly, easily, and always), and to ask Him to forgive and bless those who offend or harm us. It isn’t a suggestion, it’s a Commandment. As are all of His Commandments, each one is meant to protect us from the Adversary. When we begin to grasp this fact, we begin to understand that our Father’s intent is to save us, protect us, and turn us into Kingdom warriors of His, warriors committed to helping set fellow humans free from the prison of sin and its consequences.

WHY ARE WE A DIVIDED NATION, YOU ASK?

Question: "Why is God going to send a strong delusion in the end times?"

Answer: The Bible makes it clear why God is sending a strong delusion in the end times: “They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness” (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12). Simply put, God sends a strong delusion to those who choose not to believe the gospel of Christ. Those who take delight in mocking and rejecting Him, He will condemn.

It is a person’s choice whether to accept and believe the truth of Jesus Christ as presented in the Scriptures. To receive the truth and the love God offers is in keeping with its teachings, “This is love for God: to obey His commands” (1 John 5:3). Conversely, to know the truth and not obey it is to face the wrath of God: “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness” (Romans 1:18). Frankly speaking, there is no more dangerous condition for man than to know the truth and refuse to obey it. To do so is to harden the heart and make God’s condemnation sure.

When one knows the truth and refuses to obey it, he is subject to any lie, any deception, any untruth that humanity can conjure up. “For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:21-22). Paul goes on in the next few verses to describe the mindset and behaviors of those who disbelieve (see Romans 1:29-31). As a result of human foolishness and arrogant disdain of the things of God, “God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done” (Romans 1:28). And correspondingly, “Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things, but also approve of those who practice them” (Romans 1:32).

Isaiah puts it succinctly: “They have chosen their own ways, and their souls delight in their abominations; so I [God] also will choose harsh treatment for them and bring upon them what they dread. For when I called, no one answered, when I spoke, no one listened. They did evil in My sight and chose what displeases Me” (Isaiah 66:3-4).

When people know the truth and refuse to receive it, when they refuse to obey it and hold it in unrighteousness, “they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth” (2 Thessalonians 2:12 NLT).

“God is love” (1 John 4:16). He is not some cruel monster who deliberately and inwardly delights in preparing people for everlasting condemnation. But He earnestly and lovingly proclaims the gospel of Christ, “not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

Throughout the Scriptures, God urges people to accept the truth. But when people reject Him and spurn His message, then—and not until then—God hardens them and turns them over to a deluded mind to wallow in their wickedness to their eternal damnation. This is what the Lord says about those who choose to reject the truth: “They greatly love to wander; they do not restrain their feet. So the Lord does not accept them; He will now remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins” (Jeremiah 14:10).

ALL IN ALL, YOU'RE JUST ANOTHER BRICK???

2014 -- 6 years ago as I write this. And don't we all feel the Progressive pressure these days to fall into place, with or without covid. Thankfully, you are not and never will be "just a brick" to our Lord God, the Almighty, in Whose image you and all humans are wonderfully made.

Like bricks in a wall, the dots connect; you just have to be able to discern dots when you see them. Ask God to instruct you about this.)

ANOTHER REASON FOR JUDAS

     Everything included in the Bible is for us to learn from in some way and measure, including why Jesus--knowing who Judas was and what he'd do--allowed Judas to be with Him from almost the start of His ministry, until the betrayal in Gethsemane. I'm going to skip over the obvious reason and move on to one that came to me during time in the book of Mark this morning:

    Judas was never all-in as a true follower of Jesus. 

    And this made me think of the prophecy Jesus spoke of, about how some who believe they are Christians will Do Church, maybe even for decades, but never actually Be the Full-On Church Jesus instructed His followers to be, which is another way of taking the Lord's name in vain... taking it on in vain and not actually representing Him as we're supposed to.

    Not only that, but how many of us who call ourselves Christians could hold up under what some in the world are experiencing? If we really are in the End Times, and if Tribulation is about to unfold, how many will "endure to the end"?

    It's something for all of us to think about. I mean, Judas was with Jesus pretty much every day for three years. A 24/7 gig. And he still didn't get it. Why? He never surrendered his life to the purposes of God. I get it: It can take a while to reach that point for some of us, but it is required. That takes absolute trust in God. 

    My prayer, uttered nearly every day and often more than once a day, especially if I feel myself judging another or others (or did it), is to repent and ask God to open the eyes, ears, hearts, and minds of ALL OF US to His Truth, His Righteous Ways, and His Kingdom Ways so we walk in Kingdom and represent our King well in the world and in the spiritual battle we're engaged in. Because, we want to be those who not only stand but withstand, as instructed in Ephesians 6 and elsewhere in the Word.

    May the peace, joy, and strength of our Lord be upon you and your loved ones. In Jesus' name. Amen.

HOW CAN YOU PROVE YOU LOVE JESUS?

Christ Jesus determines who are His by the Weapons of War, the Sword, that He observes in their hands: "Whoever says, 'I know Him,' but does not keep His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps His word, in him truly the love of God is perfected" . . . "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words." -- 1 John 2:4-5, John 14:23-24

GOD CHOOSES ALL KINGS AND LEADERS

    I realize there are those who don't want to believe that God chooses all kings and leaders for His own purposes, but it's true. And this includes appointing the leaders we deserve. Oy.

    The other morning I was reading Nehemiah 9 and came to a full stop when I read verse 37, and felt the burden of the truth of it: 

    Sadly, that's more true today than we might have imagined.

    At this time (Nov. 30, 2020), God is still keeping to Himself who it is He will position as our president for the next four years. No need to scream or screech: That statement is from the legal aspect, and it is a fact that this election is, legally, according to our Constitution, not as yet settled. Back to the topic at hand...

    This verse 39 brought to mind how our treatment of abortion has led to God making sure that if the right to shed the blood of the innocent is what we want (or will allow), and which He considers an abomination worthy of eternity in Hell, then He'll give us leaders to ensure it. As one Scripture says, He'll let us get spiritually drunk on the blood we're so willing to shed, as this 1:09-minute video proves:

    Two origins of abortion in our land are intriguing. First, the woman who founded Planned Parenthood did so in order to rid society of undesirables (that is, undesirable in her opinion, an opinion shared by other elites). The predominant so-said undesirables were Blacks. Only now, after all this time, has this fact caused Planned Parent to attempt to disassociate themselves from her--because of how it looks, now that more people know the truth. Second, the woman Roe v. Wade was about, never actually had an abortion.

    Let's consider some of the results of what was supposed to be a "safe and rare" procedure for limited causes.

    In a number of states, we can now kill healthy babies in the womb at any time for any reason (though, we've been doing this by the millions each year for decades). We can vacuum them out of existence, dismember them, scald them for hours or days while their tender skin cracks and blackens--and that's only the external effects.... We're very creative in how abortion gets done. [No apologies for using the word "kill." Deliberately ending a life is killing. Ending an innocent life is murder.] To continue...

    We now have female Satanists, who get pregnant easily, admitting they do so often and willingly. They and whomever then perform satanic rites as they kill the baby in the womb (or outside of it), because Satan prefers the fresh blood of the innocent (I didn't make this up; there are articles about this on the Internet, at least for now).

    We have people saying a "fetus" isn't a baby until the mother or parents bring it home and say it is. I heard one man in a video say he firmly believes people should have up to two years, after bringing the baby home, to decide whether to abort the child or not. He's in favor of taking offspring home "on approval." If the child doesn't measure up for some reason.... He didn't clarify, nor did the interviewer ask, what that method of "abortion" would entail. 

    Some abortionists now prefer to wait until the fourth month or later to then dilate the uterus (dangerous for the woman) so the live baby is aborted intact ... because they need to be able to remove the still-beating heart for whomever it is who's in the market for these hearts as well as the other organs and body parts. Four months or older are preferable organ sizes. And, as reported, some don't use anesthetics on the baby before removing the tiny, beating heart. Take a half a second to let that sink in.

    We have some who are adamant that should a baby survive an abortion, and can still live if given needed medical treatment, nothing should be done for it other than make it comfortable until it dies. Obviously, these are the babies whose body parts haven't been claimed or paid for or aren't to be involved in satanic rituals.

    Some abortionists have been known to save the remains in jars on shelves, or in their walls (as the Pagans saved their ritually aborted babies in the walls of Jericho).

    Then there are the other "advantages" of abortions provided at any time for any reason: Aborted fetal cells in foods, beverages, and vaccines; victims of sex-trafficking and incest get "taken care of" while their perpetrators aren't reported or arrested so can continue doing what they do. There's more, of course, but that's enough for now. 

The information is out there about each of the above, despite naysayers.

    We wanted to call abortion a woman's right to have for any reason and at any time, including full-term. We even called it health care, even when neither the mother's health or the baby's is in jeopardy. So God is giving us leaders who make sure we get what we asked for or have allowed by commission or omission.

    Here's my admission: Until Jesus called me to repent and receive Him as Savior and Lord, I never gave abortion much thought. I have friends who've had them--I didn't condemn them then and still don't (that's not my right as a follower of Jesus, though He's charged His followers to call sin a sin). 

    Deception perpetrated by the Adversary has caused all of us to stumble or fall at least once, if we're willing to be honest. At one point, I was all in on the New Age deception that eternal souls were incarnating and changing their minds or knew they'd be aborted and that's all of physical life they wanted. Whatever the deception, no longer can I look at a precious newborn or infant (or photo of one) without, first, a "reality reel" running at high speed in my mind. 

    Is what's written here offensive to you? More offensive than what is being done to healthy babies in the womb, and even once outside the womb? For any who don't agree with God's commandments about this, Isaiah 44:18 comes to mind:

  

    We did this to ourselves. God forgive us. And, if you want God's forgiveness, HE'S ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU. [See the ABC's of Salvation under this next image.]

Psalm 8:3-4 CJB says

(3) When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and stars that you set in place —
5 (4) what are mere mortals, that you concern yourself with them;
humans, that you watch over them with such care?

 

     

Has Your Brain (and Life) Been Hijacked?

 

During these covid-driven, quality-of-life-affecting months (it’s mid-October 2020 as I write this), those with eyes to see and ears to hear have observed how many of our idols and addictions are junk food, a false substitute for what genuinely nourishes us. Some fell deeper into that deceptive miasma, and desperately need our prayers. Some, once their attention was diverted, sat up and took notice of what they’d given too much of themselves to that wasn’t worth it. They saw what could be lost if they didn’t shift their attention to who and what is important. They realized that while too many have spent hours out of touch with God, the Adversary got serious about taking up squatters rights in our country, our families, and our lives.

A Point of Interest about the First Adam and the Last Adam (Yeshua/Jesus)

 Adonai, God, made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.

- Genesis 3:21 CJB

God said the wages of sin is death, hence the animal sacrifices in the Old Testament and in the New--up to the point of the Victory of the Cross. The blood of the animals didn't cleanse people of their sins, but God made it so that the blood covered their sins.

Which brings me back to Adam and Havah/Eve in Genesis 3:21. They had sinned and felt their nakedness (spiritual as well as physical). The wages of sin is death... but, it seems, not solely for the sinners. In order for their now-sinful spiritual and physical nakedness to be covered, God had to shed blood in order to cover their nakedness and, therefore, their sin. 

If you don't know this already, you may appreciate learning that the Hebrew meaning of Yeshua is Salvation; so every time you read the word "salvation" in the Old and New Testaments, you're reading the name of Yeshua/Jesus. 

Yeshua/Jesus -- the Last Adam, aka as the Second Adam to some -- God come to Earth in the flesh, shed HIS OWN BLOOD to pay for OUR sins, should we choose to receive the Redemption He paid for us, and all that comes with that, that is, what is required of us as Born Again in the Spirit.

I find that what I call "a first" as written about above also connects to another "first" found in Matthew 15:21-28 CJB.

Yeshua left that place and went off to the region of Tzor and Tzidon. A woman from Kena‘an who was living there came to him, pleading, “Sir, have pity on me. Son of David! My daughter is cruelly held under the power of demons!” But Yeshua did not say a word to her. Then his talmidim came to him and urged him, “Send her away, because she is following us and keeps pestering us with her crying.” He said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Isra’el.” But she came, fell at his feet and said, “Sir, help me!” He answered, “It is not right to take the children’s food and toss it to their pet dogs.” She said, “That is true, sir, but even the dogs eat the leftovers that fall from their master’s table.” Then Yeshua answered her, “Lady, you are a person of great trust. Let your desire be granted.” And her daughter was healed at that very moment.

This woman was a Gentile. She didn't have the benefit of the heritage and generations of teachings the Hebrews did. Most of them missed the signs of the time; she had no idea about what to look for--only what she could see with her own eyes and hear with her own ears. She, untutored, through her powerful love for her daughter (a perfect love that cast out all fear), believed He, Yeshua/Jesus, could set her daughter free from the demonic prison that held the girl and their family captive. She wasn't going to let go of this. But it wasn't her persistence that made the difference--it was her total trust in Him and His authority--that she had either witnessed or heard about. 

Just as Yeshua/Jesus was the First Fruits of the Resurrection, this mother was the first fruits, you might say, of the Gentiles.

Havah/Eve persuaded Adam to sin, which led to God's first sacrifice to cover mankind's sins that required blood to be shed.

The First Adam sinned and brought death upon us. The Last Adam redeemed us, giving us the choice to choose eternal resurrected life or the eternal second death.

Yeshua/Jesus shed His blood to cleanse our sins, first, when we receive what He did for us on the Cross, and then each time we repent for our sins.

Havah/Eve "persuaded" the First Adam to sin; the Gentile mother "persuaded" Yeshua/the Last Adam to Save.

The Gentile mother's love caused her to not leave Yeshua/Jesus alone until He saved her daughter. Yeshua/Jesus' love for us is what kept Him on the Cross; it certainly wasn't the nails.

The love of that mother opened the door to Redemption for Gentiles. The love of our Lord not only opened that door but keeps it open as long as possible for even the most rebellious to receive the Gift of Grace and Redemption He paid for us with His blood.

As Pastor J.D. Farag says, it's a matter the the A, B, C's:

Admit you're a sinner.

Believe Jesus paid with His blood on the Cross to redeem you.

Call on the Lord and ask Him to lead you.

You Have Until Your Next Heartbeat To....

 IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU CALL IT, IT MATTERS WHAT GOD CALLS IT. HE HAS THE LAST WORD. BETTER IF YOU UNDERSTAND THAT NOW...BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. REPENT AND RECEIVE SALVATION THROUGH CHRIST JESUS. HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE? ONLY UNTIL THE NEXT HEARTBEAT.

Are You Clear or Confused about What’s Going on These Days?

One of my consistent prayers is this: “Lord, give us a discerning heart so that we are not deceived by others or by ourselves.” I also pray that He increases our vision so we see the truth, increases our hearing so we hear the truth, and increases our understanding of His truth.

  

Sorry to say it, but we can be a pretty gullible people at times. In fact, a lot of the time. One of the greatest seductions of the current era is that we are the power, rather than that we can be like Jesus, who came to Earth in the flesh, not as God, but as a man with the power of God within Him, through the grace of God our Father. Remember: Jesus is God, but He didn’t act as God while here. He always turned to and gave tribute to the Father as the one providing everything He needed and the power to do everything He did, and did this because He wanted us to know—it was imperative that we understand—we can do the same things He did, through the grace of the Father. He told us this was true, and He meant it. He was our perfect example. But, most of us didn’t grasp that, for a variety of reasons. Yep—more deception.

That seductive deception I refer to above is a whole other topic I intend to comment about at some other time. But I will say this: If you pay attention, you’ll see the deceptions all around us. We’re being fed these deceptions, especially children, who are so open to influence. And these deceptions move us away from God’s truth in tantalizing increments. Unless we’re paying attention and know what to look for.

This morning I caught the last 10 or so minutes of a program called The Key That Unlocks the Bible. The minister kept talking about the key of David that Christ gave to His disciples and His Church (which is us). I looked up the Web site: https://www.thetrumpet.com/programs/key-of-david/latest and found the 27-minute program on the Home page, along with ways to get the two writings he mentioned—for no cost. One is, of course, The Key of David (176 pages). The other is The True History of God’s True Church (233 pages). You can either download these books or get them mailed to you. I like to turn pages and have a tangible book I can retrieve from my shelves, so ordered them. In other words, I’m suggesting them rather than recommending them, since I haven’t as yet read them.

The minister pointed out that Jesus warned us about deceptions and the great deception: “For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.” ~ Mark 13:22-23

If current events trouble you, right down to that, yes, thorny issue called climate change, read Mark, chapter 13, in its entirety. Jesus laid it all out for us. One truism has been espoused, but in a different context than I intend: If you want to change the world, start with yourself. From the biblical perspective, if you want to help save others, start with yourself. Pay attention to how you’ve been deceived (and still are), and in what way you’ve espoused these deceptions—likely unknowingly. I speak from experience here, as one deceived by all the New Age proclamations and falsehoods. Ask the Lord to inform you. Knock and the door will be opened to you. But you have to walk in willingly.  

The First Lie and the New Age Counterfeit

The first lie Satan told to a human was, of course, to Eve, about why God wanted her and Adam to avoid the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Satan knew the real reason, and it’s why he did what he did. God told them if they so much as touched that tree, much less ate the fruit of it, they’d die. They didn’t die a physical death for a very long time after disobeying God, but they died a different kind of death.

According to the Bible, sin equals death, and in 1 John, misery is a form of death. God knew that if Adam and Eve touched or ate from the tree, they would know sin and the misery that comes from it. Every time they sinned, they’d experience a form of death, because sin would move them further from feeling and experiencing their true connection with God, their Father. They’d feel shame. How do we feel when we sin? Exactly. How do we feel when we hurt someone who loves us and whom we love? Exactly.

The sin happened before the first bite, when Eve then Adam chose to go against God and what he wanted for them. God gave them everything but the knowledge and experience of sin (choosing and doing evil). He also gave them free will. Free will plus a crafty lie by the father of lies led them to choose the idea of (imagined) individuated power over the power of God operating for them as His gift and through His grace. That choice stained us all—it entered our (mankind’s) psyche. Their love and reverence for God, who created them and cared for them, wasn’t pure enough to get them to make the right choice. God gave them everything they could ever need or want, and still they wanted more. Satan saw this, and he’s been using it against us ever since.

Fast forward to the latter decades of the last century. Satan wanted an an effective way of pulling a similar deception, but with as many people as possible. The New Age Deception, with its counterfeits, was one way to accomplish this. Satan knows human nature well.

What qualifies me to comment about this deception? A lifetime of being a participant in and advocate for the New Age and its various modalities. And not only did I practice this, I preached it to others through articles and so forth. My motivation was not to deceive anyone, but to inspire people to expand their spirituality and inner peace, which is no excuse. Like so many, I fell for the deception. I believed in and practiced the counterfeits. Until God woke me.

What are some of the counterfeits I refer to? Some, if not all listed below, will be familiar to you. Some of what I list may either have you nodding your head in recognition and understanding or may not sit well with you, especially if you, as I did, have considered one or more of these an innocuous practice. I was guilty of practicing everything listed below, and more. The thing to keep in mind about the New Age deception is that it convinces people the power is within them, and not from God. The recognition and glory is given to the individual, not to God. Practitioners of New Age modalities are doing Adam and Eve all over again. Let’s look at some of them.

The I Am deception: I Am is what God called himself when asked. The counterfeit is the New Age method of using “I am” at the start of affirmations as a way to “confirm” that the power is within us, not within God. Satan wants people to believe their word is law over God’s Word.

Contemplation vs. Meditation: We are to study and contemplate The Word of God. The New Age counterfeit is meditation that doesn’t necessarily align us with God, and often is more about our straining to make sure we get what we want in our lives, often material or monetary, without it being a gift or reward from God for our faithfulness, or even in our best interest. Affirmations = I am the power. The Word = God’s truth and promises, which He always fulfills. This ties in with the New Age practice of “Name it and claim it,” rather than seeking the Kingdom of God that is within us. Again, we are meant to believe we are the power in our lives, not God.

Blessings from God vs. Magical Manifestation: To feel blessed means we know where our good comes from; we know that God’s hand is in and on our lives at all times. Magical manifestation diminishes and or removes God’s presence from the good things or miracles that happen in our lives, and gives us what we want (sometimes) by virtue of a, so-said, non-discerning law of attraction. The counterfeit to receiving God’s goodness and blessings is believing you manifest whatever it is you receive. That you manifest or create what you receive, rather than receive what you have from God, who knows what you need—and what you don’t. (Just so you’re clear: Everything good comes from God; everything bad comes from Satan. But God converts everything bad to good. We just need to learn how to discern and receive this.)

Aligning our words with The Word vs saying whatever we want to: New Age says there is no ultimate spiritual judgment for what we do wrong; that, yes, we are to strive to be better people, but there’s no actual judgment if we mess up, other than what we self-inflict or allow others to inflict on us. This includes what we say. The Bible says our words matter. That we are to avoid gossip, criticism, judgment, condemnation, and more. An interesting example of this kind of deception is a meme on a social site that claims if you frequently litter your language with obscenities, it’s a sure sign or proof that you have a high level of intelligence or genius. What a “great” way to encourage offensiveness that is far removed from the Word. This “no judgment” philosophy also leads people to live according to the desires of the flesh rather than of the Spirit, which includes seeking the approval of others over desiring to please and honor God.

Gematria vs. Numerology: God used/uses gematria or numbers for His own purposes, to reveal information to those with a mind to see. But it isn’t so that we define and limit ourselves by the meanings assigned to numbers by humans regarding who we are and what we’re capable of (With God, all things are possible). A good example of how God used gematria is found in David Flynn’s book, Temple at the Center of Time. If you align with numbers, as though they possess power separate from or above God’s, it isn’t God you’re aligning with.

Father, Son, and Holy Ghost vs. Universe, Source, etc. Yes, God is the Source of all creation. But when we use that word to mean an ambiguous energy source, we’ve removed God from where He belongs—within us. This use of New Age names makes sure you don’t have an intimate relationship with the Holy Trinity, as well as encourages you to deny God the Father altogether.

Eternal Life in Heaven vs. Reincarnation: At no time did God or Jesus ever say reincarnation is a fact. And it wasn’t left out of the Bible so that we’d behave in the lifetime we’re aware of. But what a powerful deception and counterfeit reincarnation is.

There are other deceptive counterfeits you may be aware of or want to know about. These include any forms of divination (cards, psychics, runes, astrology, channeled entities, etc.) vs. receiving divine messages or inspiration through the Holy Spirit. Ask God for a discerning heart so that you are not deceived. May God cover you with the blessings of His love, wisdom, grace, mercy, care, comfort, guidance, and patience. May you demonstrate and share these blessings with others. May the sacred blood of Jesus Christ cover you with His protection, and cleanse, restore, renew, and strengthen you.
