DO WE REALLY NEED JESUS TO GO TO HEAVEN?

TO TELL OR NOT TO TELL?
I DREAMED ABOUT A SPECIFIC COUPLE I KNOW IN REAL LIFE... but is this also for you or someone you know?

I was in the back room of a house, felt the need to get out of there, so headed for the living room and front door. The couple I know in real life were seated on a wooden picnic bench in the living room and facing an interior wall.

Satanists and Luciferians were entering through the front door. Through the large living room window I saw more of such ilk arriving.

I paused and told the couple, "You need to get out of here. You have only so much time before this place is occupied solely by Satanists and Luciferians. The more of them that fill this space, the less presence of Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit will remain. Soon, you might just as well say that all of the "oxygen" of God's Spirit will be removed from here. If you choose to stay, once the last of them enters and closes the door, you can never leave."

They looked at me as though I had on a tinfoil hat (you know what I mean).

Then they looked around--they hadn't been paying attention to who had been and was still arriving. Though not eager to believe me, they at least looked unsure.

They dawdled as they made up their minds, but my spirit prompted me to get out of there, so I exited the house.

Those entering had no problem, but for those wanting to get away, the yard had begun to turn to boggy mush so that people's feet would sink down several inches, making it difficult, though not impossible, for the person committed to getting away to do so, though it would only get deeper and more difficult to get away over time.

This was NOT about a physical space, but a mental one that connects to the spiritual.

Was it a warning solely for that couple?

It certainly fits for all who have not yet crossed God's deadline or borderline of impenitence. Some, including Christians, have no idea such a "red line" for God exists, despite it being in Scripture.

Nor do some know, as Paul E. Billheimer wrote, that "God never saves anyone against his [or her] will."

May God speak to the heart of every person who needs to read and meditate on this.

LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF

Right from the start, I want to stipulate that my mental vocal-tone is gentle and my purpose for commenting about that particular verse -- Love your neighbor as yourself -- is ... well, that comes toward the end...

A funny thing happens often these days if a Bible-believing person goes against the cultural norm of a person's I-did-it-my-way "Christianity" by bringing to their attention how "their way" may not be God's way, according to His Word: They often come back with, "You're not loving your neighbor as yourself, as you should, and that's also in the Bible."

True. Galatians 5:14, to be specific.

But as so often happens, too many forget that no verse is a stand-alone; every verse fits into the larger context. For example, what comes before and after Galatians 5:14? Let me assist by sharing an easier version to read from the Complete Jewish Bible, translated by David H. Stern. I used this version because it's closer to the original meaning of the language and cultural idioms of the time in which it was written--which matters, and Stern is a renowned Hebrew scholar and translator.

Starting with Galatians 5:13, we read:

13 For, brothers, you were called to be free. Only do not let that freedom become an excuse for allowing your old nature to have its way. Instead, serve one another in love. 14 For the whole of the Torah is summed up in this one sentence: “Love your neighbor as yourself”;[a] 15 but if you go on snapping at each other and tearing each other to pieces, watch out, or you will be destroyed by each other!

16 What I am saying is this: run your lives by the Spirit. Then you will not do what your old nature wants. 17 For the old nature wants what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit wants what is contrary to the old nature. These oppose each other, so that you find yourselves unable to carry out your good intentions. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, then you are not in subjection to the system that results from perverting the Torah into legalism.

19 And it is perfectly evident what the old nature does. It expresses itself in sexual immorality, impurity and indecency; 20 involvement with the occult and with drugs; in feuding, fighting, becoming jealous and getting angry; in selfish ambition, factionalism, intrigue 21 and envy; in drunkenness, orgies and things like these. I warn you now as I have warned you before: those who do such things will have no share in the Kingdom of God!

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 humility, self control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things.

24 Moreover, those who belong to the Messiah Yeshua have put their old nature to death on the stake, along with its passions and desires. 25 Since it is through the Spirit that we have Life, let it also be through the Spirit that we order our lives day by day.

26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

But don't stop there, continue with Galatians 6:1-10...

Brothers, suppose someone is caught doing something wrong. You who have the Spirit should set him right, but in a spirit of humility, keeping an eye on yourselves so that you won’t be tempted too. Bear one another’s burdens — in this way you will be fulfilling the Torah’s true meaning, which the Messiah upholds. For if anyone thinks he is something when he is really nothing, he is fooling himself. So let each of you scrutinize his own actions. Then if you do find something to boast about, at least the boasting will be based on what you have actually done and not merely on a judgment that you are better than someone else; for each person will carry his own load. But whoever is being instructed in the Word should share all the good things he has with his instructor. Don’t delude yourselves: no one makes a fool of God! A person reaps what he sows. Those who keep sowing in the field of their old nature, in order to meet its demands, will eventually reap ruin; but those who keep sowing in the field of the Spirit will reap from the Spirit everlasting life. So let us not grow weary of doing what is good; for if we don’t give up, we will in due time reap the harvest. 10 Therefore, as the opportunity arises, let us do what is good to everyone, and especially to the family of those who are trustingly faithful.

What -- and who -- does the apostle Paul mean by "those who are trustingly faithful," because we don't want to guess or leave anything out (again), do we? After all, look at ALL that's left out of the whole message of Chapter 5--it doesn't start and stop with verse 5:14. Vital information follows, information too many forget or fail to be aware of, information that completes what's being conveyed. The best way to identify this meaning ("trustingly faithful" and who it refers to) is to start at the beginning of Galatians and read all 6 chapters. Here's the link so you can do that:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+1&version=CJB

It's been said: "It takes a whole Bible to make a whole Christian," though I don't readily recall who said it. People who freely use Galatians 5:14, ignore or don't know the rest of it, and usually recite it because they are defending their or the rights of a person to continue in his or her sin, called sin by God, though the world may have even made it legal. And their approval -- which they mean to be loving by -- is not an example of Christian/Messianic love. Jesus came here to save people from the prison of sin and the wages of sin, and from the Adversary's clutches and deceptions that lead to eternal death in Hell.

If you think my posting this is unkind or unloving or stern, I invite you to read 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 at

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+5&version=CJB

The only reason any of us believe that it's more loving to allow others to die in their sin is because we have believed a false Gospel and in a false Jesus. The God of the Old Testament is the same Jesus (God) of the New Testament -- and God does not change. [For intelligent, qualified, thoroughly researched understanding of Scripture, I invite you to check out Dr. Michael Lake's videos at https://www.youtube.com/user/biblicallife/videos ]

I remember while in college, I got out of a class on the first floor and went to the restroom on the third floor before my next class. My mirrored reflection showed ink on my face. Not one friend, acquaintance, or stranger had brought this to my attention. And that was just ink that washed off fairly easily. I ask you to ponder this: Is it more loving to let someone die in their sin by keeping silent or risk angering or losing them for a while in this life so a seed is planted that Holy Spirit nurtures within them to save them for God's Kingdom? If God commands us to speak His Truth to power, how much more so to those we love or know He does? However, this doesn't mean to nag them. Tell them once, then pray and trust God.

May the peace of the Lord our God be with you.

BY THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY

Please say these Words of Testimony (from Scripture) ALOUD and as often as needed.

From Secrets of A Prayer Warrior by Derek Prince

Through the blood of Jesus, I am redeemed out of the hand of the devil. - Eph. 1:7

Through the blood of Jesus, all my sins are forgiven. - Eph. 1:7

The blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, continually cleanses me from all sin. - 1 John 1:7

Through the blood of Jesus, I am justified, made righteous, just-as-if-I’d never sinned. - Rom. 5:9

Through the blood of Jesus, I am sanctified, made holy, set apart to God. - Heb. 13:12

My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, redeemed, cleansed, sanctified by the blood of Jesus.

Therefore, Satan has no place in me, no power over me through the blood of Jesus. - 1 Cor. 6:19-20

Thank You, God, for the precious blood of Jesus. Thank You for the redemptive blood of Christ.

Thank You for the justifying, sanctifying, precious blood of the Lamb of God.

Blessed be the name of the Lord.

I praise You, Jesus, for You paid the price of my redemption.

You shed Your precious blood on the cross.

You are the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

And now, Lord, I have taken the

blood from the basin [as in Exodus, first Passover]

and transferred it to my own personal needs

by the hyssop of my testimony.

Amen.

PRAYER FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST JESUS

FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS AND GOING FORWARD: BE SURE TO PRAY THIS ALOUD AND OFTEN, PERHAPS EVERY DAY, AS GOD’S SPIRIT MAY INSPIRE YOU TO DO.

Who is like You, ADONAI, among the mighty? Who is like You, sublime in holiness, awesome in praises, working wonders? - Exodus 15:11

Abba Father, seated upon Your Throne of Grace in Heaven, Holy is Your Name. Your grace and mercy endure forever. All glory, honor, and praise are Yours, from eternity past to eternity future.

Abba Father, I pray that from the treasures of Your glory, You empower us with Your inner strength by Your Spirit, so the Messiah may live in our hearts through our trusting. By Your grace, help us to be rooted and founded in love, so that we, with all Your people, will be given strength to grasp the breadth, length, height, and depth of the Messiah’s love, yes, to know it, even though it is beyond all knowing, so we will be filled with all the fullness of You, Lord. [Ephesians. 3:16-19]

By Your grace, help us to lead a life worthy of the calling to which we have been called. Help us to be humble, gentle, and patient, bearing with one another in love, and making every effort to preserve the unity the Spirit gives through the binding power of shalom. [Eph. 4:1-4]

Help us, Father, to strip off our old nature and to let our spirits and minds be continually renewed. Help us to clothe ourselves with the new nature created to be godly, which expresses itself in righteousness and holiness that flow from the truth. [Eph. 4:22-24]

Father, by Your grace, help us to let no harmful language come from our mouth, only good words that are helpful in meeting the need, words that benefit those who hear them. Help us to get rid of bitterness, rage, anger, violent assertiveness, and slander, along with all spitefulness. Help us be kind to each other, tenderhearted, and forgiving of each other, just as in the Messiah, You have forgiven us. [Eph. 4:29-32]

Help us to pay careful attention to how we conduct our life – to live wisely, not unwisely, and to use our time well, for these are evil days. Help us to not be foolish, but to seek to understand what Your will is. [Eph. 5:15-16]

Help us, Father, so that whenever we open our mouths, words will be given to us to be bold in making known the secret of the Good news, for which we are emissaries. Help us to speak boldly, as we should. [Eph. 6:19]

[The following is based on Ablaze for God by Wesley L. Duewel]

Father, help us become more passionately committed to Jesus Christ than ever before. Give us passion for souls, to Your glory. Give us sensitivity to others. Make us spiritually radiant—to Your glory. Give us boldness in witnessing. Help us to make effective prayers that are also a priority. Lead us, Father, into a secret fellowship with You, where a heavenly fire is kindled within us, making personal work for souls easy, natural, a relief, and a rest. Help us to see souls as through Your eyes so we, too, have a tireless longing in their regard. Father, let Your Holy Spirit pour agape love into our hearts so we love others with the same love for the unworthy, the undeserving, and the sinners as did Messiah Jesus, to Your glory.

Holy Spirit, give us eyes to see when a person’s heart is ready, when s/he faces a crisis where we can help, when You have brought the person across our paths for a purpose. Guide us to be in the right place at the right time to speak to or bless and love the right person. Give us Your anointed touch so we understand and empathize rightly. Give us the right words in all circumstances and moments – or direct us to be silent, according to Your will.

Abba Father, give us a new and deeper love and faith than we’ve ever had before. Pour more of the love of Christ Jesus into our hearts. Through Your grace, give us an intensified sense of Your presence in our lives. Speak in ways so that all – both saved and unsaved – are gripped by the Spirit of God, are aware of the presence of God, and bow before You in new obedience to Your will.

Father, give us the eyes to see correctly, the ears to hear correctly, the mouths to speak correctly, the hearts to know Your truth correctly, the minds to understand correctly, the hands to serve You correctly, and the way to represent You correctly and to Your glory.

Help us to hear Your voice; guide us throughout this day. Help us to see, hear, pray, and then speak.

Make us a definite blessing to someone today. Pour the love of Christ Jesus through us and into the lives of others – saved and unsaved – whatever their age. Provide more workers for Your harvest, and more help for Your laborers.

Help us to realize and use the gifts You gave us for the good of others. Guide us in how we use our talents, gifts, and time. Teach us to pray and believe for Your guidance. Help us develop a listening ear to what it is You want us to hear. Teach us to ask for Your anointing to any form of legitimate work or ministry. Help us to remain humble in the use of Your gifts, to value gifts of other Christians, and to give You the praise and glory for all.

Father, guide us into all truth (John 16:13). Open our eyes so we see wonderful things in Your law (Psalms 119:18). Show us the beautiful unity of Scripture and how one verse shines light on another. Help us receive the Spirit, Who is from God, that we may understand what You have freely given us (1 Corinthians 12).

Holy Spirit, guide us as to how to apply the Word to our own hearts and the needs of others. Divinely enable us through guidance, assistance in prayer, illumination, reminding, restraining, and sealing ministries of Your Spirit.

Father, help us to obediently put away all that might hinder the Spirit’s working. Help us to separate ourselves from all which the Spirit convicts us by His searching light. Help us to yield in totality of surrender that yearns for all Your grace can do in our lives. Help us to claim by faith all Your gracious promises.

Help us to empty ourselves so we can be filled with the Spirit. Help us to live the deeper life, the higher life, the crucified life, the victorious life, the holy life, or the life of rest in our Lord. Change our weaknesses to strengths through You; transform our defeats into victories to Your glory. Cleanse all our defilements with the precious Blood of Messiah Jesus.

Holy Spirit, lead us to a new step and degree of consecration so that the Lordship of Christ Jesus within us may be more nearly total than we ever dreamed of. Holy Spirit, make us hungry for what You long to do within us.

Father, through Your grace, help our trust to produce action, our love produce hard work, and our hope produce perseverance.

Abba Father, through Your grace, and Holy Spirit, change my heart so it is more like that of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; turn me from sinful pride, cause me to love God with all my being and my neighbor as myself. [Taken from The Last Things by George Eldon Ladd.] Father, help all come to an understanding—a whole-Bible understanding—of what loving our neighbors as ourselves means, according to You. The Adversary has succeeded in confusing so many in this regard.

Also, Father, when it is Your will for any who call You Lord to “shake the dust from our feet” and move on from those who reject You, strengthen us to do this and put the proper prayer for them into our hearts and upon our lips. Almighty God, pursue the lost, the backsliders, and those who’ve never known the joy of calling You Abba Father. Lead them to repentance, deliverance, salvation, and redemption through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Let them know Your love for them is so great that You gave the full measure to save them. Extend Your loving hand to them, Lord, and then show them how to walk the narrow path that leads to eternal life with You.

Father, I thank You and praise You, in Jesus’ Name, the Name above all names, the Name to which every knee must bow and every tongue confess He is Lord.

Amen and Amen.

PRAYER WARRIOR INTERCESSION: AFGHANISTAN

Imagine it's your life in jeopardy: You'd appreciate several thousand people -- tens of thousands, in fact -- praying for you. To that end, calling all Prayer Warriors, and asking you to share this call-to-prayer far and wide.

The Patriot Nurse has done three nighttime intercession watches regarding this matter. Day or Night, let's keep the prayer watch going. Whatever time of day you can do a prayer watch is fine. As she said, Whatever time that is, is the time God our Father assigned to you.

So... get your Bible, something to drink, and be ready to pray. You have several options to accommodate your schedule:

3:45:34 -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oNlmA6EiwY

1:30:05 -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5IBHs7lAtU

1:04:50 -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRqwQH7fefY&t=1184s

Please -- invite other Believers to intercede as well, whether that's one more person or your church.

Please -- don't hesitate to do this every day for as long as needed. Nor do we need to limit this: There are many situations that need such prayer.

May God our Father rain down His grace, mercy, strength, and peace that surpasses all understanding upon all who call Him Lord and King, and may He lead the lost to repentance, deliverance, salvation, and redemption through Jesus Christ. All Glory, Honor, and Praise be to our God, from eternity past to eternity future. In thanksgiving and praise, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

YOU WANT ME TO PRAY FOR WHO???

"There is no political solution to a spiritual problem." - Steve Quayle

Why do we Christians find it so hard to believe that so much depends on our praying? We take the attitude that what goes on is beyond our control; there is nothing we can do about the government--or prejudice or hatred or whatever ills we see around us. We shrug our shoulders. We criticize. We complain. But we fail to pray. This is why we see worldwide moral and ethical decline, both in leadership and in national culture. We have not understood the limitless possibilities of praying according to God's will as revealed in His Word. [Excerpt from Secrets of A Prayer Warrior by Derek Prince]

PLEASE JOIN ME IN THIS PRAYER ABOUT COVID ET AL

The Adversary (and his minions) are intent on killing, stealing, and destroying... and what a strategy is being employed with great success. HOWEVER,

 THE PRAYER:

Abba Father in Heaven, Holy are You, Lord.

The Adversary and his minions believe they are winning. Father, we know that nothing happens that You do not do or allow for Your perfect purposes. So we ask in Jesus' Name, Father, that every saved person affected by this "viral attack" of the enemy, be filled with Your Peace that surpasses all understanding, and to Your great Glory, Father.

And for those affected who are not saved, we ask You, in Jesus' Name, to lead them to repentance, deliverance, and salvation through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Father, leave the enemy's altars empty and his minions confused. Turn what he meant to be a tragedy into a Great Harvest for Your Kingdom, to Your Glory.

In Jesus' Name, we thank You and praise You, Abba Father.

WHERE ARE YOUR TEARS?

WHERE ARE YOUR TEARS By Wesley L. Duewel from the book shown here (see the book about tears below the poem).

There are tears in the sinner’s eyes.

Habits of sin binding heart, hand, and feet;

Broken with shame at his sin and defeat.

Hot burning tears coursing down his hot cheek –

There are tears in the sinner’s eyes.

There are tears in the suff’rer’s eyes.

Long weary hours of disease, weakness, pain,

Praying that health be restored once again,

Waiting for healing, but waiting in vain –

There are tears in the suff’rer’s eyes.

There are tears in discouraged eyes.

Misunderstood by the ones who should know;

No one to love, to compassion bestow,

Fainting, discouraged, with hope burning low –

There are tears in discouraged eyes.

There are tears in non-Christian eyes.

Calling to idols of wood and of stone,

Calling in vain, Christ and Savior unknown,

Comfortless, helpless, without God, alone –

There are tears in non-Christian eyes.

There are tears in the Savior’s eyes.

Tears for those sinning, discouraged, and ill,

Tears for the straying ones, out of His will,

Tears for the millions unreached by us still –

There are tears in the Savior’s eyes.

But where are the tears in your eyes?

Can you not weep with the millions who weep?

Have you no tears for the other lost sheep?

Jesus is weeping! Are you still asleep?

OH! WHERE ARE THE TEARS IN YOUR EYES?

[Did you know God collects our tears? Read about this and more in Steve Quayle's book, shown here.]

THE IDOLATRY OF VERBAL SELFIES

JUST THIS MORNING I SPOKE TO GOD ABOUT THIS VERY THING--REGARDING MYSELF AND OTHERS.

Unless something truly informative or a call-to-action-or-prayer is posted, all our commentaries on social sites, and especially rants, which includes shared memes or tweets, are VERBAL SELFIES, which is a form of worship of an IDOL -- OURSELVES OVER GOD and what He's called us to do.

AND THEN I READ THIS ARTICLE BY PASTOR MARIO MURILLO, link below (I love when God gives confirmation!!!).

"The real measure of our anointing is what it actually does to Satan. Real authority from God drives back cultural evil. We should not be reveling in our theatrical services―we should be grieving over our powerless witness."

JUNE 2021 is UFO/UAP DISCLOSURE MONTH. WHAT IF THIS GUY IS RIGHT?

If any of you, or any people you know, don't believe God's Word now, what makes you think that you or they will not fall for the coming Great Deception God warned us about in His Word (Scripture) and through His Word, Yeshua/Jesus?

Are you prepared spiritually for what's about to happen?

Are you even informed in any measure about what God told us as to what's about to happen?

If not, may God give the hearts of those who watch this 56:47-minute video, the "ears" to hear what this brave, bold preacher John Kilpatrick, shares for such a time as this.

A PROPHETIC END-TIMES MESSAGE FROM JOHN KILPATRICK

May our Lord open all eyes, ears, hearts, and minds currently closed to His Truth.

In Jesus' Name.

Amen

It’s Your Fault I’m No Longer A Christian!

The pundits’ voices played as white noise in the background—until one of them said she’d left Christianity because people claiming to be Christian didn’t behave as she thought they should. She didn’t give specifics as to what she meant, but it stung, partially because she had a point—but only partially.

Please go here to read the rest of the article (and how God responded when I prayed to Him about this):

DIRECTING GOVERNMENT TO ITS DUTY: Government’s God-Ordained Role vs. Our God-Given Rights and Civil Liberties

Questions Worth Consideration:

-When to obey God and government vs. when to disobey government in order to obey God
-When we are to be submissive to government vs. obedient to government
-When Civil Disobedience might be necessary or obligatory
-How governments are to govern
-Do those in government know they are accountable to God
-Whose role it is to inform these leaders as to their God-ordained roles
-Where agape love fits into government’s role and that of the Church
-Where government has and does not have authority or jurisdiction
-Who bears responsibility to tell government when they overstep their authority or jurisdiction
-What our God-given unalienable rights are:
*the right to Life
*the right to Work
*the right to have and be with Family (including and especially when they’re dying)
*the right to Own Property
-What the God-ordained PURPOSE for government is (to protect our God-given unalienable rights…
Government doesn’t impart these rights to us – they’re from God, but government is obliged to protect and facilitate them.)
-How covid restrictions and lockdown measures align with protecting our God-given rights and civil liberties – or don’t
-When war is the right thing to engage in
-Is it government’s responsibility to protect us from a virus
-Is government culpable in God’s eyes if people die from a virus
-Is government culpable in God’s eyes if people die from government’s limits, lockdowns, and restrictions placed upon people
-Will they have to give an account to God for the harm these limits, lockdowns, and restrictions cause
For these answers and more … Feb. 14, 2021 – On that date, James Coates, GraceLife Church pastor in Canada, gave this last sermon – DIRECTING GOVERNMENT TO ITS DUTY – before being arrested for the second time. He remains in prison, awaiting trial to be scheduled for either this May or June 2021.
Here is the link to the recorded sermon in which Pastor Coates gives a profound, ANOINTED explanation to those in government regarding
1) Their God-ordained role, and
2) Our obligations to both God and government
(He also praises South Dakota’s governor, Kristi Noem, and rightfully so)
The video is 1:04:26 in length – and worth every anointed second. I pray God leads you to watch it and heed every word.
In the words of renowned Dr. John G. Lake:
God, turn our fears into thanksgivings and rejoicings.
We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

THE DAY RUSH LIMBAUGH DIED

This is my latest article (03.01.21), which can be found on the Put Old on Hold Journal site, along with other contributors you'll enjoy discovering, whether you stand in solid agreement with them on some matters or have differing opinions. Site Link: https://putoldonholdjournal.com/

THE DAY RUSH LIMBAUGH DIED

First admission: I wasn’t one of the millions of faithful listeners of Rush Limbaugh, which is no reflection on him and is more about my . . .

Second admission: I had little interest in anything political until early 2016, when I began to make fun of Donald Trump’s running for office, until the moment God said in that way of His, “How about you close your mouth and open your ears instead.” It wasn’t that God wanted me to put my attention so much on Mr. Trump, but on matters I’d chosen to ignore that were contrary to His Kingdom, because this was also when God, through His grace, called me to Him after multiple decades spent in New Ageism and other sins.

Third admission: This isn’t about Rush Limbaugh. It’s about you, me, and . . . well, let me explain.

Maybe you, too, have someone’s post show up on your Facebook feed, and not only do you not know the person, you don’t know when or why you became friends, other than back at the start when everyone was eager to amass followers, a quantity-over-quality kind of thing. That’s all I can figure about this particular poster.

After learning of Rush Limbaugh’s passing, I went onto Facebook. On my feed was a meme about Limbaugh, created by that unknown friend, followed by a second one of his. I was genuinely shocked, not because it was about Limbaugh in particular, but because of how utterly void of compassion and how celebratory in viciousness and vitriol the comments were regarding a fellow human being whose last year of his life had gone as it had, until his last breath.

I thought, “That’s it! I’ve prayed for this guy every time one of his crude ‘I’m morally superior and your not’ posts about someone not on his side of the political fence has shown up, but This Is It! I’m done.” I headed to the Unfriend Zone. As I scrolled to find his name so I could erase him from my feed, God once again in that way of His said, “Which does he need more: To be unfriended and forgotten or prayed for? Which is more important: Your prideful sensibilities and self-righteousness or his soul?” Conviction and correction received, Lord, for which I thank and praise You.

St. Augustine said,

“Pride is the beginning of sin. And what is pride but the craving for undue exaltation?”

I’ve also heard said,

“Pride is pregnant with every other sin.”

Previous writings have dealt with how, for months, God’s been putting on my heart that the words we speak (or type or share) matter far more than we comprehend. They matter so much, He made sure to include in His Word that we will all stand before Him on Judgment Day and account for our every word, and that He considers slander, and any comments that seek to tear down or ruin reputations of fellow humans, equal to murder. He also told us that each time we sin, we give a legal right to the Adversary to go after us (health, finances, family, etc.). It’s something to ponder.

As I pondered these things, this new thought arrived: Sarcasm, of which we are far too fond, (including those who claim to be Christians) becomes a curse: On the person we aim it at, at those who see it or hear it and hop onto that bandwagon we put into motion, and on us. God commands us to bless, not curse, others. When we sin, we’ve taken God’s name upon us in vain and do not represent Him as a light in the darkness, as He instructs and commands.

God commands us to forgive others as we want Him to forgive us (quickly, easily, and always), and to ask Him to forgive and bless those who offend or harm us. It isn’t a suggestion, it’s a Commandment. As are all of His Commandments, each one is meant to protect us from the Adversary. When we begin to grasp this fact, we begin to understand that our Father’s intent is to save us, protect us, and turn us into Kingdom warriors of His, warriors committed to helping set fellow humans free from the prison of sin and its consequences.

I highly recommend Pastor J.D. Farag’s profound 1-hour talk about the current satanic strategy of “Divide and Conquer” using words we speak against others, which can be found at https://tinyurl.com/2cjup6sh . Here’s something Holy Spirit put into my heart and mind 02.11.21:

Not Left or Right,

not of-Color or White,

but Lost or Saved.

Period.

May God guide you and yours in all your ways and all your days.
